A quick checklist.
- enable Search Engine Friendly URLs in Site - Global Configuration - SEO.
- enable the OpenSEF plugin in Components - OpenSEF - Configuration - Configuration.
- rename the file in the root of the site htaccess.txt to .htaccess
- uncomment lines #85 to line #89 in the .htaccess file
And away you go! Remember you can edit the urls to be even more friendly/specialised in the component itself.
